Yes. Every new signup starts on the free plan and it does not expire. It includes the complete double-entry accounting system: sales invoices and GST-compliant billing, sales orders, quotes, credit and debit notes, purchase invoices and purchase orders, payments, journals, ledgers and chart of accounts, cost centres, inventory, assets, projects, bank accounts and statement import, and financial reports including profit and loss, balance sheet and general ledger. Users are unlimited and no card is required. You also get one-off trial credits for SmartAuditor and SmartUploads so you can try the AI on your own books. What the free plan does not include is an ongoing AI allowance, or SmartInsights, automated bank reconciliation, GST reconciliation and GSTR filings, e-way bills and e-invoicing, and the compliance calendar.
They are two separate things. The free plan is free forever, needs no card, and gives you full accounting plus one-off trial credits for SmartAuditor and SmartUploads. The 7-day trial is a time-limited preview of a paid plan, Pro or Max, which lifts those limits so you can run the full AI suite before deciding. You are not charged at signup for either. If you do nothing after a trial ends you are not left without software, because your account continues on the free plan.

Pro and Max include a 7-day trial. You pick a plan, add a payment method, and pay nothing today. After 7 days the selected plan starts automatically. Cancel anytime during the trial and you will not be charged. Plus starts paid, with no trial.
On Pro and Max, SmartUploads is unlimited under our Fair Use Policy. Pro includes AI processing for up to 2,500 invoices or statements; Max includes up to 5,000. Once that AI limit is reached, further uploads fall back to the OCR parser, so you can keep processing documents without a hard cap.
